Busta Rhymes has marked the death of Heavy D by paying a tribute to the late hip-hop pioneer in a new song.
The MC, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, died on Tuesday after neighbours found him lying unconscious outside his home in Beverly Hills.
A host of stars showed the grief about his passing on Twitter and now Rhymes has released the song You Ain't Gotta Wait Til I'm Gone (Heavy D tribute).
At the start of the track, Rhymes says: "I don't want y'all to wait to celebrate my life when I'm gone. I want you to celebrate my life when I'm here. Heavy D, you inspired me my whole life; (it's) amazing your last tweet said, 'Be Inspired'. Well you inspired this one playboy. Rest in peace."
A post mortem examination was carried out on Wednesday and medics are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before determining the cause of death.
