Pop star Bruno Mars is taking his music publisher to court in a bid to break free from his contract.
The 'Grenade' singer insists he has already delivered on his contract with Bug Music, Inc. and considers the partnership over, but music executives are refusing to let him go until he hands over 50 per cent of his copyrights.
In documents filed in Los Angeles and obtained by TMZ.com, Mars is asking a judge to issue a declaration that his contract is over.
