Chris Brown is trying to put his troubled relationship with ex-girlfriend Rihanna firmly behind as he dates new girlfriend, aspiring model Karrueche Tran.
The R&B star hit the headlines again last Tuesday (March 22nd) when he smashed a window backstage at the New York studios of breakfast show Good Morning America following a tense interview that included questions about his 2009 assault on then-lover Rihanna.
He subsequently apologised for his behaviour, admitting he lashed out because he needed to "let off steam".
But Brown's spirits appear to have been lifted by his renewed love life - the new couple was snapped laughing and joking with the singer's entourage during a shopping trip in Los Angeles on Friday (March 25th).
Brown, whose debut single Run It! topped the US singles chart in 2005, has been linked to Tran since the beginning of March.
It's his first public romance since splitting from Rihanna in 2009, weeks after the assault for which he was sentenced to five months probation and six months community service.
