Federline's legal fees paid

A court has ordered Britney Spears to pay ex-husband Kevin Federline $375,000 (£187,000) to cover legal fees in their child custody case according to reports from the U.S. The Los Angeles court commissioner ruled that the actions of Spears was the cause of a number of delays in the case, and as such she should carry the cost reports the Associated Press news agency. Mr Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, requested $500,000 (£249,525) to cover the costs, an amount disputed by Ms Spears' lawyer, Stacy Phillips, who argued that he was over-charging. The couple where married for three years were divorced July 2007, with Federline awarded primary custody of the couples children, two-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, aged one, in October. Meanwhile as we reported yesterday another judge has extended a temporary restraining order against Ms Spears' former manager, Sam Lufti for one month. The move was agreed in advance by Mr Lutfi and Ms Spears' father, Jamie, who currently controls the 26-year-old singer's personal and business affairs.Ms Spears' mother Lynne has alleged that Mr Lutfi had drugged her daughter, cut her home phone and taken control of her finances.
