News and pictures of troubled pop star Britney Spears are now so profitable the singer is said to have created her own economy.Spears herself is said to be worth an estimated $125 million (#62.5 million) and earns over $700,000 (#350,000) a month in interest from her own personal accounts, but that pales in comparison to the vast sums she makes for other sectors of the entertainment industry.A new survey by Portfolio Magazine has revealed that since launching her career eight years ago the 26-year-old has pulled in excess of $400 million (£200 million) for her record label Jive, $150 million (£75 million) for tour promoters and venues and her two-endorsed perfumes are reported to have made beauty manufacturer Elizabeth Arden approximately $100 million (£50 million) since their launch.Spears is also said be of great value to the publishing industry - a cover featuring the star is believed to increase interest in a magazine by a massive 33 per cent.But it is the paparazzi - who Spears allegedly works alongside by making them aware of her routine - who are the biggest winners.A simple shopping picture, bringing in $250 (#125), to exclusives for $100,000 (#50,000), earns the savvy star 20 per cent of all paparazzi business, according to the report.
