Judge Allows Spears Monitored Visitation Rights....

Latest Court verdict - A Los Angeles judge has ruled Britney Spears' former husband Kevin Federline will retain custody of their two sons - but the pop superstar is allowed monitored visits to see her kids.The temporary ruling was made at a closed-door court session which lasted three hours on Wednesday (03Oct07) afternoon. Spears didn't attend, although Federline showed up sporting an eyepatch.Federline, wearing a pinstriped suit and sunglasses, refused to speak to reporters as he left court.Court spokesperson Allan Parachini says, "Britney's access to her kids works out to about every other day."The next hearing in Spears and Federline's ongoing custody battle for Sean Preston and Jayden James is scheduled for 26 October (07) - both parents are required to attend.Spears lost custody of her sons at a hearing on Monday (01Oct07), after failing to hand in a valid California driving licence. She was issued with an interim licence from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (Dmv) on Tuesday (02Oct07).Meanwhile Kevin Federline shocked court watchers when he turned up for the hearing into his ongoing child custody dispute with ex-wife Britney Spears, sporting an eyepatch.The rapper/dancer, who has been handed physical custody of the couple's two young sons, was not expected to join attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan at the Los Angeles hearing on Wednesday (03Oct07).

He arrived outside court wearing a pinstriped suit and sunglasses, attempting to disguise his eye accessory. He refused to speak to reporters and wouldn't answer questions about how he had injured his eye.

Spears did not show up for the hearing. Her attorneys are currently in court asking the judge to change his mind about his custody ruling.
