American country stars, BRAD PAISLEY and DIERKS BENTLEY will be performing a benefit in Nashville, Tennessee on May 2nd to mark the one year anniversary of the flood that devastated Grand Ole Opry.
Storms lashed the city a year ago and led to Opry bosses closing the doors to the venue and relocating equipment and historic artifacts.
Bentley and Paisley, who was one of the first stars to re-enter the flood-damaged venue to film the clean-up effort, will be joined by Luke Bryan and the Charlie Daniels Band for the anniversary concert, which will benefit area charities, including the Nashville branch of the American Red Cross.
Bentley says, "It's hard to believe that it's been a year since the flood. The city of Nashville, the Opry and the country music community were so resilient and came together to rebuild so quickly after the devastation. I've never been more proud to be an Opry member, and I'm looking forward to celebrating that sense of community again."
