Bobby Brown: 'Whitney Married Me For Wrong Reasons'....
Bobby Brown has accused his ex-wife Whitney Houston of only marrying him in a bid to save her tarnished reputation - insisting the union was "doomed from the very beginning".The couple married in 1992, but their 15-year union was officially dissolved last year (07).And now Brown has launched a scathing attack on his former lover in his forthcoming autobiography Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But - blaming Houston for the breakdown of their relationship and insisting she married him for all the wrong reasons. He writes, "(The marriage was) was doomed from the very beginning. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married. I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children."The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart, that didn't go too well with her image."In Whitney's situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation. I think I got caught up in the politics and ended up marrying one of the biggest stars in the world". Meanwhile in seperate news the R&B singer has blamed his ex-wife Whitney Houston for getting him hooked on hard drugs. The 39-year-old, whose 15-year marriage to Houston was officially dissolved last year (07), has accused his former wife of introducing him to cocaine, which led to a spiraling drugs habit.
Brown was convicted of cocaine possession in December (07) and sentenced to a year of community service.
And now the former New Edition star has put the blame solely on Houston.
He writes in his forthcoming autobiography, "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice.
"At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine".
Houston also has a conviction for drug possession after she was arrested at a Hawaiian airport in January 2000. The How Will I Know singer pleaded no contest to possessing marijuana and was ordered to make a donation to an anti-drugs campaign in place of community service.
