Billy Idol recovering from foot surgery
Billy Idol is recovering in Hollywood following corrective surgery on his foot.
The smiling White Wedding singer was spotted leaving a Beverly Hills medical centre on Monday on crutches with his right foot in a cast.
Idol underwent surgery last week to 'correct a malformation of foot due to hitting a truck tire a year ago', he wrote on Twitter.
He adds: "Hit foot on shredded truck tire causing a hairline fracture a year & a1/2 (sic) ago and it was calcifying causing malform (sic) & pain."
And the rocker admits that the painkillers he has been given bring back old memories: "Nodded out & woke up in a pile of my own vomit! This is like the old days!"
But it hasn't all been a joke to Idol, revealing he is "in pain and p**sed it's gonna take a month & half to heal!!!"
The rocker insists he plans to use this time wisely as he heals and is working on already-recorded new material and writing a memoir.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson tells WENN: "He's feeling much better."
