Newton-John's Physical Tops Sexy Song Poll
Olivia Newton-John's 1981 Hit Physical has been named the most popular sexy song of the last 52 years in a new poll.
The Grease star beat rocker Rod Stewart to the number one spot - his 1976 single Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright) ranks at two, while Boyz II Men ballad I'll Make Love to You is at number three.
Too Close by R&B group Next and Marvin Gaye's classic Let's Get it On round out the top five in Billboard magazine's 50 sexiest songs, based on the popularity of tracks since 1958.
Heaton Gets On His Bike For Tour
Newton-John's Physical Tops Sexy Song Poll, Paul Heaton Gets On His Bike, No Angels Singer Nadja Benaissa Charged, and Lemar goes acting
Paul Heaton, the former frontman of British bands The Beautiful South and The Housemartins, is to tour the U.K. - on a bike.
The singer is heading out on the bizarre road trip as part of a campaign to save traditional pubs, playing small shows in local bars and then staying at the venues overnight.
He will cycle 720 miles (1,158 kilometres) around Britain and play 15 gigs during the tour in May (10).
Heaton says, "I'm looking forward to pedalling around the country to promote cycling and the British pub... It saddens me to hear about so many British pubs closing on a weekly basis so I want to do all I can to get people back to their local (pub)."
No Angels Singer Charged
German pop star Nadja Benaissa has been formally charged with causing bodily harm after allegedly failing to tell her lovers she was HIV positive.
The No Angels girlband singer is accused of having unprotected sex with three men who were unaware she carried the deadly infection.
The 27 year old spent 10 days in jail following her arrest in Frankfurt last April (09) but was released after her lawyers argued she should "enjoy the presumption of innocence" as there was no proof she had passed the virus on to any of the men.
However, one of Benaissa's former sexual partners has now tested positive for HIV, prompting police to file charges against her.
A spokesperson for the prosecutors in Darmstadt, near Frankfurt, says, "She was well aware that any unprotected sexual contact can lead to the virus being passed on."
If convicted, Benaissa faces up to 10 years behind bars.
Lemar Plans Acting Career
British R&B star Lemar has put plans for a movie career into action - he's already scored a string of auditions in Hollywood.
The Dance (With U) hitmaker admits he's barely had time to indulge his passion for acting, as he's been so busy recording new tracks.
But he's been meeting with casting agents in Los Angeles, and he's hopeful his new career will eventually flourish when he finds the right role.
He says, "Music takes up so much time when you are recording, but I do love the acting side of things. When I was in L.A., I looked into it a bit more and went to a few castings. I'd probably play a bad guy because I do a good mean face, better than a nice face. A really wicked villain would allow me to explore my dark side."
