Platinum selling Swedish pop sensation Basshunter will unleash his latest dance track ‘Walk On Water’ on 6th April. The single, taken from his massive No.1 album ‘Now You’re Gone’, follows hard on the heels of his previous four smash hit singles, and is set to continue Basshunter’s reign over the charts in 2009.
‘Walk On Water’ features Basshunter’s poptastic vocals and with his slick production standards, the track is guaranteed to be another chart topping anthem around the UK.
The ‘Walk On Water’ promo features a live performance by Basshunter, aka Jonas Altberg, playing to screaming fans at a massive concert earlier this year. And the video will give people a taste of what’s to come later this year, when Basshunter will headline the massive Hard2Beat Dance Nation Live arena tour across the UK, which kicks off in April.
Taking in Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester, Aberdeen and Newcastle, the Dance Nation Live tour will feature the UK’s top dance acts performing live to sell out arenas. With Basshunter headlining and the likes of September (‘Can’t Get Over’; ‘Cry For You’), Sash! (‘Encore Une Fois’; ‘Mysterious Times’) and Booty Luv (‘Don’t Mess With My Man’; ‘Some Kinda Rush’) also performing, the tour is sure to be the biggest dance event of the year.
2008 was without doubt Basshunter’s year and firmly established him as one of Europe’s most successful dance pop artists, with sales of nearly a million units in the UK alone. His debut album, ‘Now You’re Gone’, sky rocketed to No.1 (knocking Coldplay off the top in the process) and the ‘Now You’re Gone’ single spent an amazing 5 weeks at the top spot.
But with a new single, an arena tour and work on his eagerly anticipated second album well underway, 2009 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for the Swedish music phenomenon.
