Backstreet Boys singer Howie Doroughs a first-time dad after his wife Leigh has given birth to a baby boy.

The couple welcomed James Hoke Dorough at on Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles. The tot was born a month premature but healthy, weighing in at just four and a half pounds (two kilograms).

Little James was given the middle name Hoke as a tribute to Dorough's late father, also called Hoke, who lost his battle with cancer last summer.

Congratulations to the pair of you!
