Aretha Franklin sings way out of parking ticket
Aretha Franklin used her vocal talents to get herself out of a parking ticket on Monday after a New York traffic cop was seen near her car.
The Queen of Soul had finished eating with her team at a barbecue restaurant in Manhattan's Upper East Side when she sang loud and proud to an officer in a bid to get out of the fine issued to one of her party's illeagally parked cars.
The cheeky trick worked. She got out of the penalty after agreeing to sign an autograph for the cop too, according to gossip column Page Six.
