Berrabah In Shock After Boyfriend's Machete Horror....

Devastated Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah has spent Christmas (07) at her boyfriend's hospital bedside after he was savagely attacked by a machete-wielding madman.Berrebah was on a night out with pals and beau Freddie Fuller in Hampshire, England on Christmas Eve (24Dec07) when the terrifying assault took place, leaving the 25-year-old with an arm and a leg hanging off.He was set upon as the festive party moved from one pub to another in Aldershot, following a reported dispute between Fuller and a business rival.Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to save his limbs.Berrabah says, "It was horrific - like a nightmare but worse because it was real. How one person can do that to another I don't know."I couldn't stop myself screaming".The Change star has kept a bedside vigil at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey since the assault.She adds, "It's awful to see him lying there so still, with his face so pale and his limbs all bound up. He keeps slipping in and out of consciousness, so we have barely been able to speak.

"I watch every flicker of his eyes to see how he's doing and he seems to be getting a bit stronger. But the doctors say he's going to need constant care for at least eight weeks".

Police are still searching for a 28-year-old male who they believe to be the main suspect.
