Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah is taking a break from the band after suffering from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion.
The Sugababes will be taking a three week break whilst Amelle is treated, thus meaning that the trio will miss shows in Leeds and Germany; the first shows the new line-up were due to play live.
The news follows a tough few months for the girl group, who have seen original member Keisha Buchanan axed from the group and replaced by Eurovision star Jade Ewan.
It is thought that Keisha was forced out of the band after Amelle and bandmate Heidi Range claimed that they could no longer work with bossy Buchanan, who had clashed with Anelle on several occasions since she joined the group in 2005.
A statement put out by the band's management today said: "Amelle has been forced to take an unexpected short break away from the pressures of work, following professional medical advice.
"As a result of recent events within the band, culminating in a change of line-up, the prolonged duration of stress has unfortunately taken its toll on Amelle and this has led to her suffering from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion. She is expected to return to work in full health by the beginning of November.
"Fellow band members, Heidi Range and Jade Ewen, are fully aware of the decision and are both totally supportive of Amelle and the decision taken."
