50 Cent Blames Poor B.E.T. Performance On 'lost Focus'....

Latest: 50 Cent has responded to criticism of his performance at the recent B.E.T. Awards, claiming he "lost focus" when he bumped into a dancer on his way to centre stage.The rapper's set at Tuesday's (27Jun07) awards ceremony was slated by critics and fans alike, with 50 Cent also reported to have lip-synced his way through the brief performance of his single Amusement Park.Sources told MediaTakeOut.com the rapper was caught out when he mimed the lyrics to the track over an instrumental version of the song, which was mistakenly played by his Dj Whoo Kidd.50 Cent then prowled the stage waiting for the right song to cue - leaving many fans puzzled as to what was going on onstage.But the In Da Club star - real name Curtis Jackson - insists his shambled appearance was the result of a run-in with a dancer on a trapeze as he made his way to the stage, causing him to momentarily lose concentration.Appearing on B.E.T.'s 106 & Park show on Thursday (28Jun07), 50 explained, "It's a disappointment, but I'll get a chance to do it again, so I'll feel good about it."Everything doesn't quite happen the way you practice it. You see, I was hit by the aerialist and I was wibbly-wobbling coming down (onto the stage). Twenty five feet in the air, man, you fall - can't nobody help me with that, you know what I mean? Then by the time you get down, you try and regroup to fight... the music starts, we four bars into the song, you know - I just wasn't concentrating."Jackson also reveals he went into the crowd to interact with his fans in an attempt to save his embarrassment as he waited for the correct track to be played by Dj Whoo Kidd.

He jokes, "I snapped into survivor mode, baby!"
