5 Seconds of Summer have already started work for their second LP.
The band - which consists of Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin - have begun writing for the new album but admit that touring with One Direction sees them struggling to find enough time.
Speaking to MTV News US Ashton said: "We've been trying to [write new tracks], 'trying' is the key word.
"We've been trying to fit it in. We've been so busy lately, but we are definitely feeling creative again and excited to write a second album."
Michael teased fans that they should expect "some little stuff" at the end of this year however.
He explained: "We don't know whether we are supposed to be keeping secrets or not."
The Australian group recently admitted that attractive women at their gigs cause the boys to forget their words mid-song.
Michael said: "We have definitely forgotten the lyrics before. It's really embarrassing because you'll be singing the words and then you'll see (a hot girl). It's like, 'Oh, you're are so attractive'."
