JON ALLEN returns with his new album "Sweet Defeat" after his debut album " Dead Man's Suit" that was released in 2009. his debut album was funded from the income generated by 20,000 downloads of his song "Going Home" which featured in the Landrover Ad.
His new cd that will be released on the 23rd of May in England will be in demand after his debut album in 2009 that was a huge success.
Like every artist, most of their music and lyrics have been inspired by something in their own life that has taken place. Jon Allen Said "His new album "Sweet Defeat"was inspired by an end of a relationship, so basically it is an break up record."
Sweet Defeat is a 11 song collection that ranges from songs like "Last Orders" that is sweet and as Jon puts its his favourite as he feels very emotional when listening to it.
At the age of 14 he got a tape recorder as a present and this was the start of his recording career.Jon began laying down tracks and experimenting with the way different instruments interact with each other. From a young age Jon Allen's Idol in the music industry was Johnny Cash.
Jon is planning to do a tour around England running from mid May to early July covering all parts of the U.K. and even attending Glastonbury on the 26th of June.
Jon Allen said " There are many other festivals that I would like to attend such as Oxegen in Ireland and I hope to do more gigs in Ireland in the future"
Hopefully this album will bring Jon great success and that his plans to follow his dream on becoming a great singer/songwriter remains.
