Anyway, trust me, they’re going to be HUGE in 2009, so in order for you to be able to fully appreciate their epic-ness, we thought it was only fair that we brought you the rundown on the girls before they become bigger than Beyonce.

We are proper 100% loving your super hot new record…tell us a bit about the inspiration behind it…

Jade - We are thrilled that you like it!!

Ashen - The background to the track is that, Tanya, Jade and I all met through dance classes and the original track (My Boo by Ghost Town DJ’s) was the track that we made our first professional choreography to so it seemed really fitting for us to start our release career to the same beat we started our music career to! Although our album comprises of a range of tones – our favorite type of track is the track that makes you get up and dance!

To anyone who hasn’t heard of you yet, how would you describe your sound?

Tanya - Our sound is a mixture of dance, r’n’b, hip hop and pop! We have always wanted to make music that is enjoyed not only on the radio and at home, but in the clubs, concert venues – so we have tried to merge the best of all the urban scenes into one sound.

Lyrically we have tried to speak on a range of topics from young female’s perspective, on life, love, drama and issues we face trying to come up in the world. Our main aspiration is to make music that empowers young people and accentuate self belief.

If you were going to give us just one song of yours to listen to so that you would become our new favourite singer, what would it be?

Priceless - Probably “Swagger”, that’s our favorite track on the album. We are still forever in the studio so tomorrow that might change! But for now, that’s one that reflects our sense of style, musical range (as it’s a hip hop/ pop track) and sense of humor as we like adding a little bit of cheekiness into our material! Our main musical message is not to let anyone hold you back and be yourself and this track conveys this in its undertone.

If you could cover another band’s song, what would it be?

Jade - I guess that question is answered by our current release Lady baby! But if we were to cover another song we are all massive fans of “Street Life” by Randy Crawford. Its really soulful and still means a lot now as it did when it was released. Our parents are massive fans as well, so it would be nice to do a song for them to get up and dance to!

And can you sum up your good selves in just five words?

Ambitions, Daring, [sometimes] Crazy, Dedicated and MUSICAL!!

What makes you stand out from the crowd?

Tanya - As a band I think the fact that we are all dancers and we have an amazing female MC makes us stand out as no other group has that. This influences our music so its not formulaic, genre wise we are also crossing a lot of markets which attracts a really diverse audience.

Ashen - In the terms of our girl band counter parts, I think what makes us different is that we are competing (chart wise etc) against not only the other girl bands, but against rappers, hip hop groups, r’n’b groups regardless of gender – given what our music is and the fact that we write all our own material. This is something that hasn’t really been achieved by a group since TLC.

You know we’re having a bit of an economic crisis here at the moment, if people wanted to spend their last £10 on a cd this weekend, why should they buy yours?

Jade - When you face a crisis its better to be positive about the eventual outcome rather than panic or be negative – our album will give you your fight back and ensure that you look on the bright side of things!

What three bands would you have to headline your dream festival?

Tanya - From a financial point of view if we were running the festival its got to be U2, Michael Jackson and Madonna – which would be amazing! But from a taste perspective, Jay Z, Beyonce and the Pussycat Dolls would make for a great show!

What has been your favourite musical memory to date?

Priceless - The first time we went on stage and the audience sang back to us our lyrics – AMAZING!!

If all of the bands equipment was on fire, what one piece would you save and why?

Jade - Mics – we can sing to playback!

Who do you think is the greatest artist around at the moment?

Tanya - That’s a tough one as we have just come off tour with N Dubz and Tinchy Stryder and we think they are both fantastic examples of great British music, so can we say both?

If you could only listen to one CD for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Ashen - Too difficult, but I think Michael Jackson’s BAD album, is a complete album – it has a nice blend of uptempo and slow tracks and all the tracks could pretty much be singles..

Okay, now we want to ask you some random questions; Tell me about the most terrifying experience of your life…

Ashen - The most terrifying experience as a group has to be now, waiting for the single to be released – pressure, very scary!!

What’s the most stupid purchase you’ve ever made?

Priceless - A mini disc player – totally pointless as the IPOD came out so shortly after…

Why go to the top of a tall building, only to put money in binoculars and look at things on the ground?

Tanya - Ha Ha! It’s a view you can’t get anywhere else, you can see things from different angles and take often great photos of landscape and architecture! Its also about fresh air – air is a lot cleaner the higher the altitude (better for the skin!)
