Amy Wadge
Monday 12th April sees the release of 'Hold Me', the sublimely sweet and simply beautiful single from, Amy Wadge, I’ve heard it just once and I’m already dying to get my hands on a whole album of her stuff.
Luckily, whilst I’m waiting for the album I got a chance to chat to her, so here is how she coped with the 15 Questions We Ask Everyone.
Hello there little monster, what are you up to?
Right now I have my feet up having put my 2 year old to bed.
So, tell me a bit about what you’re here to promote?
I have a new single out called Hold Me taken from a new album called 'Acoustig'.
And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what three words sum you up?
Singer, Songwriter, Mummy
And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?
I waddle apparently (particularly as I am currently pregnant) and Ironically my surname means 'to waddle'
Now, clearly we need to get to know each other more, so tell me an interesting fact about you that noone else knows?
I have just bought a caravan
What song do you wish you’d written?
Case of you by Joni Mitchel
If I was contemplating coming to your show or sitting at home and TV, how would you convince me to come out?
Come to my show and I'll have you laughing and crying as much as any episode of Corrie
And if you were to take me on a trip to your hometown, what would be the first place we’d go?
I'd take you to an amazing italian down the road from my house - it's brilliant.
Who was the last person you called / text and what for?
I called my mate who gives me a spray tan every week and arranged her next visit
If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?
I'd help all the mums who couln't get their kids to sleep by simultaneously rocking them all.
If you had to date a member of the same sex (or opposite sex if the case may be) who would it be? Mine would ALWAYS be Angelina Jolie.
I've always had a bit of a thing for Claudia Winkleman - it's the fringe.
What was the last thing you bought?
Rufus Wainwright's new album it's astonishing
Have you ever been arrested?
No , not yet
Speaking of prison - if you were to send someone to prison for crimes against music, who would it be?
I do songwriting in a maximum security men’s prison so I am working towards a crimeless musical world but if it had to be one person I'd say Melua
What were you doing last night at 11?
Sleeping soundly.
