Since breaking onto the live scene in early 2011, Proxies have never failed to deliver an amazing live show to their rapidly growing fan base.
The band formed whilst at college and since then, things have gone into overdrive with support shows to Kids in Glass Houses, Hadouken, Canterbury and Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy) as well as a gig for HMV’s Next Big Thing.
Proxies' musical influences are clear to hear in this first song which also features Sean Smith of The Blackout, fusing rock and huge electro beats makes for an explosive combination when delivered by Proxies.
Jordan claimed "from early on we've been called everything from 'an electronica act caught in bed with a rock band' and even labelled 'Pendulum! at the Disco', but mostly I think it is rock music that utilises all the tools available to us as musicians".
When it was decided to record their debut single 'If I had a Penny To My Name", there was only one person they would trust to produce it, Gareth McGrillen.
McGrillen's experience in the rock-electronica arena layered over the band's already-ballsy song provides a statement of what Proxies stand for, and what they're going to bring forth in the very near future.
To help them make their debut, Sean Smith from The Blackout joins them on the track.
