With their eponymous debut album The Invisible have woven together strands of diverse sounds to create a fresh and new musical elixir. Their music is a unique strain of danceable, multi-layered genre-spanning spacepop imbued with ethereal yet gutsy vocals- something alien but simultaneously completely familiar.
In recent weeks the Londoners have been turning up the heat with increasingly wonderful live shows, described in one instance as sounding "like Fugazi borrowed John Spencer's backline and got Terry Callier on board for a tribute to Band Of Gypsies".
Both Hot Chip and Foals have personally approached the band with offers to join them on live dates and previous single Monster's Waltz has led to praise from XFM's prophet of great music John Kennedy, as well as Zane Lowe declaring the track "Hottest Record In The World".
All this, combined with an ongoing string of gigs, new single London Girl and their magical forthcoming album, suggest a bright future is increasingly visible for The Invisible.
The Invisible's London Girl single and self-titled album will both be released on Matthew Herbert's acclaimed Accidental Records label. London Girl will come with new mixes by fellow-Londoners Hot Chip and cutting-edge techno innovator Cristian Vogel.
