The Blizzards release new single Trust Me I’m a Doctor through Island Records on September 28, ahead of debut UK album Domino Effect on October 12.
Trust Me I’m a Doctor sees the quintet make another seamless stride in their ever-evolving bid to turn Britain onto their bold and ballsy guitar-pop anthems.
Fresh from huge success in their native Ireland, where the band have scooped two consecutive Meteor Awards for Best Live Act in 2008 and 2009 and enjoyed a platinum-selling album, The Blizzards look set to replicate that massive success here on British soil. They have already caught the collective attention of Dermot O’Leary, MTV and Spotify following the release of debut single Buy It Sell It back in July.
Hailing from the Midlands, The Blizzards have grown into one of the most renowned and revered live acts in Ireland. They are fronted by compelling frontman Niall Breslin – AKA ‘Bresy’ – whose 6ft 5in finely-chiseled stature gives him an unparalleled stage presence.
Trust Me I’m a Doctor is the second single to be taken from forthcoming UK album release, Domino Effect. It is a catchy, football terrace-bound pop hit in waiting, and one that has already ensured that Ireland wakes up to a steady diet of The Blizzards’ anthemic pop-rock.
Following multiple sold-out Irish tours, a stunning appearance in July on the main stage at Oxegen in front of 60,000 fans and recent opening slots for AC/DC and Oasis at Slane Castle, The Blizzards have already brought their crowd-winning set to V Festival this summer.
The Blizzards are:
Niall Breslin – Vocals, guitar
Justin Ryan – Lead guitar, vocals
Dec Murphy – Drums
Anthony Doran – Bass
Aidan Lynch – Keyboards, vocals
