“Fuelled by an unforgettable fire, these Scouse rockers summon the stadium squall of U2, playing small venues as if they were headlining Wembley” – The Guardian
Liverpool’s Sound Of Guns have announced an extensive tour with Scottish rockers The View throughout April. The tour coincides with the imminent release of brand new single ‘Breakwater’, digitally released on April 4th on Distiller Records.
The brand new single ‘Breakwater’ will be available as a free download with additional tracks ‘Statues’ and ‘Bottled In Birkenhead’ via iTunes for the full release.
An unashamed mesh of bold, defiant and vitriolic guitars, ‘Breakwater’, which has been made XFM’s Single of the Week, is a fine example of the band’s formation of sound, adding to their existent arsenal of already mighty stadium-scale songs. Produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Blood Red Shoes, The Enemy), the new track follows their last single ‘Elementary of Youth’ and precedes a forthcoming album featuring brand new material due for release later this year.
It’s been a great year for the band, with sell out headline shows, Radio 1 support and the debut album ‘What Came From Fire’ making the shortlist for the XFM New Music Award 2011.
Hot on the heels of touring with The Last Shadow Puppets’ Miles Kane, the band are ready to kick start the next leg of their tour, supporting The View. The full list of dates is below:
