I was in the clouds.” When his mother gave him a guitar and suggested he try putting some of his words to music he was “surprised how much more people listen to you when you are singing than if you read a poem,” he admits. “After that, I couldn’t stop, it was constant writing, every day, it became almost a form of conversation, the way I interact with the world.”Jack has received unparalleled support from Radio 2 with his two previous singles (Without and Dreamers) both play-listed and his album declared Album of the Week. Additional airplay on Radio 1 and across the ILR network has led to Jack’s characteristic voice and unique style becoming airwaves favourites. The new single, and the album’s title track, ‘Between the Minds’ touches the heart with the simplicity and honesty of the lyrics whilst the gentle production perfectly frames the rawness of Jack’s emotions and vocals.
