Local Natives – Airplanes
The song starts off very theatrical and grabs my attention. The boos in the beginning quickly turn into applause. I haven’t understood many words yet but the melodies are good.
The style of the song is catching on and growing rapidly, and they are capturing everything the new style is about. The music is best listened to in a parking garage alone with a girl in your car at 1:15am, in hopes of her return to your abode.
The song is more of a night time feel and very relaxed. I am interested in seeing how they translate to a live show, but it would have to be a slow rainy day.
