Black Willow and Eyesofsound Records Proudly presents Following on from their 2005 debut mini album release ‘A Darkness Prevails’ on Visible Noise Records (home to lostprophets and Bullet for my Valentine), Devil sold his Soul are now set to release their eagerly anticipated full length debut album ‘A Fragile Hope’ on June the 18th, on Black Willow and Eyesofsound Records (home to The Ocean Fracture and We Are Carnivores)Mixing together an epic and progressive, ocean sized film score sound with a harder, metal edge, Devil sold his Soul’s sound is a fine balance of power, aggression, melody and space. Mile high riffs, crashing percussion, piercing samples and an otherworldly melodic feel inhabit the bands finely tuned sound. ‘A Fragile Hope’ takes off with the breathtaking instrumental ‘In the Absence of Light’, building up walls and washes of calm and tranquility before smashing it all down with the crunching, 100 mile and hour album opener ‘As The Storm Unfolds’. The record continues with the groove dominated opus ‘The Starting’, coming across like a Pink Floyd cover played by a more progressive minded Black Flag, eventually leading to the climactic, piano led finale of last track ‘Hope’.Now, with over 50,000 myspace friends, a Radio 1 Maida Vale session in the bag and an XFM Ian Camfield session to come June 18th, press with the likes of Kerrang, Metal Hammer, Rock Sound, Big Cheese, Time Out, The Fly, Total Guitar and more, AND support with MTV2, Scuzz and Kerrang TV, DSHS are one of the UK’s finest and most popular bunch of underground heroes. The band have already toured and played with the likes of Bring me the Horizon, Red Sparrow’s, Skindred, Memfis, Gallows, All Shall Perish, The Scare, Architects, as well as putting on a host of UK headline tours including the Nov/Dec 06 tour with Exit Ten in support.DSHS have always been fiercely independent, covering everything themselves, including booking their own shows, recording their own demos and records, paying for their own promo videos and designing all artwork .After the expiry date period had passed at previous label Visible Noise, rather than sign with another larger independent label or be sucked into a label bidding war, DSHS instead gathered a close team around them, recorded the album themselves and with help from Eyesofsound Records, set up Black Willow Records as an outlet for their music.First single ‘Between Two Words’, along with an amazing accompanying video promo, will be available for download only on June 4th 2007. Also look out for the video for ‘As The Storm Unfolds’, with live recorded footage at The 100 club in March, available online for free from the first week of May on Youtube, Myspace, everywhere!!!

Look out for the band on the road all throughout 2007 and 2008, starting with a UK headline tour in May and June with the mighty Fei Comodo in support, a Sept tour TBA and also a joint headliner tour in NOV/DEC TBDevil Sold His Soul
