Chew Lips will release the first single ‘Hurricane’ from their second album on 3rd September, released through the bands own label Family Records as part of a new deal with Sony Music.
‘Hurricane’ will follow free download track ‘Do You Chew?’ released last month. It is a bold and sassy track and a surefire future pop hit.
Opening with teasing electro beats it launches into a soaring chorus of dirty yet sweet addictive vocals that you can’t get out of your head, in a good way.
Chew Lips consist of vocalist and uber-cool frontwoman Tigs and multi-instrumentalist James Watkins.
The band formed in 2009 after the pair had been in indie bands but then had the desire to form something new, something pop and something exciting. The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their second, as yet untitled album, which was produced by Ant Whiting and will be released early next year.
The band have been touring the UK throughout June and July performing at the likes of Lovebox and packing out headline shows across the country.
Live, Chew Lips are a blast of energy and exhilaration and recent shows saw them preview some of their new tracks along with old favourites from their first album. Upcoming tour dates are as follows;
