Cave Painting follow the release of their debut album ‘Votive Life’ with a new single, 'Leaf'.
Having released a succession of tracks throughout the last couple of years that put them firmly on the radar of those who care about music, the debut album underlined the band as an intelligent voice in UK music.
Cave Painting supported Mercury Prize winners Alt-J last year, before undertaking a series of dates with Supergrass legend Gaz Coombes at the end of 2012, cementing a reputation for enthralling live performances.
The video for ‘Leaf’, filmed by Alex Brown (Foals, James Blake, Maccabees), necessitated the building of a special sledge to allow singer Adam Kane to be pulled through the streets of the band’s Brighton hometown and the surrounding countryside by his bandmates.
Cave Painting will tour the UK soon. More details to follow shortly.
