What are The King Blues planning to do with their second album? The title says it all â 'Save The World, Get The Girl', in that order.
They intend to conquer the world, step by step. First single 'Let's Hang The Landlord' took them many steps forward, with support from their Radio 1 champions Mike Davies and Zane Lowe, XFM playlist, and press love from Kerrang!, NME, Rock Sound and Big Cheese.
They played a riotous, oversubscribed gig on a canal boat in their spiritual home of Camden Lock, then followed it up with a sold out show at Camden Dingwalls.
Next up is second single 'My Boulder', a paean to friendship and an anthem in the making (just ask anyone who heard a tent full of people singing along to it at the Reading or Leeds Festivals).
It has already received eight plays on Radio 1, most memorably when Zane Lowe recommended it to Noel Gallagher live on air.
Following its release, the band will play their biggest headlining date yet, at the Carling Academy Islington on October 22nd. There's also a regional headlining tour and a support slot with one of The King Blues' favourite bands, Rancid.
