Die Mason Die is the new band based around enigmatic 20 year old Samuel Mason. Mason, who is Wales born, Australian raised and now London based arrived in London in the early part of last year and spent the first half of 2011 writing and recording in.
Now with recruited band compadres in tow, Die Mason Die announce the release of their debut EP ‘Tongues In The Clamp’ due for release November 5th.
‘Hold My Crown’ is the second track to be revealed from this stunning debut which showcases the vocal stylings of Gomez combined with intricate folk figer picking and the kind of dreamy exuberance only youth can bring.
During the second half of 2011, Mason embarked on a six month journey back to Down Under as part of a travel documentary in which himself and eleven others drove a 1970’s double decker bus from London to Sydney.
It was on this journey the debut EP was dreamed up and created which shines through the fusing of eloquent soaring falsetto and folk fingerpicking with the contrast of screaming growls, emotive vocal harmonies and the at times chaotic guitar riffs.
