Stone Roses

The Stone Roses bassist Gary Mounfield wants to reform the cult British band - for a massive $30 million price tag.

The Fools Gold hitmakers were said to be planning headlining slots at several U.K. festivals this summer.

Former frontman Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire quickly dismissed the reports - insisting they didn't want to live in the past by reuniting, but Mounfield is adamant the group should go ahead and reform, because it would attract such a huge profit for the musicians.

He says, "Ian and John have to get it sorted. For all the morals and principles that people have, you wave £20 million in front of somebody and they change their mind. Morals and principles don't put food on the table, do they?"
