Snow Patrol have been honoured with a lasting tribute in their native Northern Ireland - a special plaque has been erected in Belfast to mark their lengthy career.
The rockers formed in the late-1990s and have since carved out a chart-topping career, with six studio albums and a string of top awards, and now they've been handed the prestigious Heritage Award by the PRS for Music organization and honored with a special plaque at the Duke of York pub in Belfast where they first performed in 1998.
Frontman Gary Lightbody says, "We never sold out the Duke Of York, and to be honest, getting 30 people back then was a good night. To be playing for up to 40,000 people now is incredible for us."
