Daisy Lowe dated Mark Ronson because the British model wanted to be "spoilt" by an older man who was intelligent enough to interest her.
The couple dated for several months in 2008 and Lowe was devastated when they announced their split because she'd "never loved anybody as much as him." The 21-year-old catwalk star admits she loves "nerdy boys" and enjoyed being in a relationship with the superproducer, 34, because she learned a lot from him.
She tells Esquire magazine, "I've been in a relationship (constantly) for five years. I was with (singer) Will (Cameron) for three years, and we split up. Then I was dating Mark (Ronson) because I decided I wanted to be spoilt a little bit. It was really interesting dating an older person, and he taught me a lot...
"I still love geeks. I think glasses are definitely cute, but I just really like intelligent men. I need someone who a) can inspire me and b) that I can have interesting conversations with. If you haven't already noticed, I can talk, so I need someone to challenge me."
