Indie-rock giants Coldplay have a nasty lawsuit ahead of them due to a man's claims that he wrote three of the band's hit songs.
Sammie Lee Smith claims he is responsible for composing the group's tracks Yellow, Clocks and Trouble, according to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday.
Smith alleges the songs were stolen from him - and he wants Chris Martin's band to stop playing them, reports TMZ.
The unknown songwriter is also demanding unspecified financial compensation.
Coldplay previously faced a copyright infringement lawsuit from guitar great Joe Satriani, who accused the Brits of stealing "substantial" segments of his song If I Could Fly.
The rockers, who denied any wrongdoing, settled the case in September.
