British rockers Blur have disappointed fans by insisting their summer gigs will be the last of their work together.
The Britpop pioneers announced their return to the music scene in December last year after a six-year hiatus, and hit the stage with a series of massive outdoor shows, including a headline slot at England's legendary Glastonbury Festival last month .
It had been hoped the Parklife hitmakers would seal their comeback with a new album, but bassist Alex James insists there are currently no plans to head back to the recording studio or to play any more concerts.
He says, "(We have not talked about) doing anything else whatsoever. (The gigs were) what we said we'd do and we did it and it was great. It hasn't been mentioned the idea of doing anything else but hey, it was great."
