Dizze Rascal flying the flag

UK rapper Dizzee Rascal is having the Summer of his life it would appear. Performing at festivals all over the world to appreciative fans, things couldn’t be better for the London rapper.

With his current song on top of the UK charts now for over three weeks Dance Wiv Me featuring Calvin Harris has become a Summer anthem.

Last night Dizzee performed in Ibiza to a packed out crowd at the San Antonio Rocks Hotel where he performed tracks from all of his albums including the critically acclaimed Math's and English.

Juelz Santana sold to Def Jam

Reports are circulating that Diplomats head Cam’Ron has allowed Def Jam to take over the reigns when it comes to the career of the Uptown favorite Juelz Santana.

It is being reported that Def Jam bought Juelz out of his contract with Cam’Ron for over $2 million and even though these figures have not been confirmed they have yet to be denied. Juelz who has always been signed to Def Jam through Diplomats is now embarking on a joint venture with the label that started out with LL Cool J back in the eighties.

Santana also has a new album and mixtape in the works to satiate the appetites of his fans who haven't seen a studio album from the rapper since 2005 when he released What the Game’s Been Missing which sold over a million copies.

Arrested on Snoop Tour Bus

Two men were arrested by police as they traveled through Texas on board a tour bus carrying Snoop Dogg as the Long Beach rapper was heading to perform at a Dallas concert.

The bus was pulled over for an expired registration sticker and troopers decided to search the vehicle, uncovering two ounces of marijuana. Ethan Calhoun and Kevin Barkey were arrested and later released on $1500 bail.

Ludacris upsets Obama

Rapper Ludacris, born Christopher Bridges has upset the Democratic Presidency hopeful Barack Obama with a track that he recorded to show support for Obama who he has openly been a fan of since the campaigning began.

The song titled Politics: Obama is here, made derogatory mentions to former running mate Hilary Clinton, John McCain and the current President of the United States, George Bush.

Representatives from the Obama campaign spoke out against the lyrics used by the rapper saying that the Atlanta based MC should be ‘ashamed of the lyrics’ as they go against everything Obama hopes to achieve.

“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” said the statement from the Presidential Candidates office.
