In today's Daily Rap Busta Rhymes has been invited to play in the UK, fight breaks out at TI performance, Mobb Deep in court and Rick Ross hosts charity event.
Busta invited to perform in UK
Rapper Busta Rhymes has been invited to be the leading act in a September concert here in the UK. Orange Rock Corps is a music event which is aimed at the younger music fans similar to the Boost Mobile Rock Corps events that take place in the US.
The concert which will take place in the Royal Albert Hall is hoping to make a difference when it comes the growing amount of violent attacks within the younger generations in the UK, who now see gang culture as the way forward.
"I want to do something productive that will help convince kids on both sides of the Atlantic to stop killing each other," the rapper said.
"We are seeing a generation of children who are lost and in need of support. Their families are breaking down around them. They're turning to gangs and violence. We need to tell them that is not the right answer."
TI avoids further drama
A fight broke out in an Atlanta club where rapper TI was performing earlier this week. Due to conditions of his plea agreement with authorities, the rapper was immediately escorted from the venue by his security and a court appointed monitor.
Courts had approved the troubled rappers appearance at the Luckie Food Lounge.
Mobb Deep heading for court
Rap duo Mobb Deep have filed a suit against former manager for unpaid royalties it was disclosed yesterday. Former manager Norman Bell, known within the music industry as Purfek Storm has been accused of using the duoâs songs without authorization for compilation albums which they have yet to receive any royalties from.
Havoc and partner Prodigy who is currently incarcerated for firearm violations are seeking one million dollars in the suit.
Rick Ross the Boss
Considered the Boss of Miami, Def Jam rapper Rick Ross is hosting his second annual Be Out Day which will benefit the children of Miamiâs inner city areas.
The Rick Ross Charities provides school children with back packs filled with school supplies and the Be Out Day will provide, entertainment from artists such as Flo Rida, Young Joc and DJ Khaled, food and beverages from the youngsters.
