Lil Flip not injured in car crash, TI to make three movies with Screen Gems, possible Hot Boys reunion and M.I.A to build schools in Africa.
Lil Flip not injured
Rumors have circulated over the past few days concerning Houston rapper Lil Flip. It was announced that the rapper was involved in a near fatal car crash that left him hospitalized with injuries to his legs, arms and neck on Tuesday.
Manager for Lil Flip, Sandy Lal has fervently denied his artists involvement in any car crash, telling reporters that Flip is safe and well after having returned home from overseas after a successful tour.
TI inks movie deal
He might be going to prison for a year in the Spring for weapons charges but rapper TI is making sure that he is signing deals that will keep him busy on his return. Born Christopher Harris, TI has just inked a deal with Screen Gems for three movies.
The first of which Bone Deep will feature him along side Matt Dillon and Wire star Idris Elba.
TI has so far had a very successful acting career, having taken the lead role in the ATL box office hit in 2006 and then last year in the critically acclaimed American Gangster.
Hot Boys Reunions Album
As his Carter III album, possibly the most anticipated album of 2008 flies off shelves, Lil Wayne has indicated in a recent interview that there is actually the possibility of a reunion with former Hot Boys, Turk, BG and Juvenile.
The only original member of the quartet to remain on the Cash Money label is Lil Wayne, but having aired out their differences with each other and Turk being released from jail. it is looking like a reunion album is a sure possibility.
The last album from the Hot Boys was Let Em Burn in 2003 before Turk found himself charged with second degree murder and BG and Juvenile left the label for numerous reasons.
Rapper M.I.A to open schools
Having been paid $100,000 to perform at an MTV after party, the Sri Lanken/Brit rapper has decided to use the money to follow the likes of Madonna and Oprah Winfrey and build schools in the struggling African country of Liberia. To build a school in the impoverished country can cost as little at $40,000.
M.I.A is currently gearing up for a Summer on the road with appearances scheduled at festivals all over the worlds including the world famous Glastonbury festival in the UK and the Exit festival in Serbia where she will share a stage with the legendary Afrika Bambaataa.
