In todays Hip Hop news Papoose Jay-Z, Snoop pleads guilty, nd Game told to stay out of trouble

Papoose DroppedBrooklyn rapper Papoose who was backed by DJ Kay Slay and rapper Busta Rhymes has been dropped from Jive Records before even releasing an album. Papoose made history last year by signing a $1.5 million dollar deal with the label, something that hadn't been done in quite a while.This was due to the popularity of his mixtapes and the buzz created by the Hot 97 DJ Kay Slay who has been a driving force behind the rapper and who is said to have benefited greatly from the payout from Jive.
Jay Z inspired
Rapper/CEO Jay Z will be retuning to the shelves with a new album before the end of the year. The rapper recently divulged that the inspiration behind this move came from a sneak peak at Ridley Scotts soon to be released American Gangster movie which stars Denzel Washington, Russelll Crowe and RZA."It was like I was watching the film and putting it on pause and giving a back story to the story," Jay said. "Watching that film, it brought back all these memories. It took me back to those emotions."The new album will be aptly titled American Gangster will be released just after the movie which hits the silver screen on November 2nd in the US. The official soundtrack to the movie will also be released on Def Jam.

Snoop pleads guilty
West Coast rapper Snoop Dog pleaded guilty to possessing a dangerous weapon which resulted in 160 hours of community service and three years probation. Donald Etra the rappers lawyer said "We are very pleased with the outcome." He continued "Snoop's goal is to make music, not make court appearances."

This came from an arrest made at an LA airport last year when the rapper was caught with a collapsible baton which he claimed was for use in a music video he was to star in.

Game advised to keep out of trouble
Rapper the Game has been told by a Manhattan judge if he can keep out of trouble for six months, the charges brought against him for impersonating a police officer in New York last year.

The rapper had told a taxi driver that he was a cop and had requested the driver to run numerous red lights throughout the city. The taxi was later stopped by police and Game was arrested. Game born Jayceon Taylor is currently facing up to five years for displaying a gun in a school zone and making criminal threats.
