Hip-Hop snubbed again
The clothes designer Francois Girbaud who was embraced by Hip-Hop for his cutting edge fashion has spoken out against the culture while talking to the New York Observer."What we bring into the market was always innovative, and I feel now I am trapped and I have to just talk the same way, like I have to have skulls and some kind of snakes. It's boring, it's really boring!"" the designer explained after implying that because he has been embraced by Hip-Hop he is expected to act a certain way.

Cristal champagne was also quick to imply that they didn't want to be associated with the Hip-Hop culture last year which sparked a boycott of the french product by rappers such as Jay Z who had encouraged sales of the expensive wine.

Mother of victim speaks out
The mother of the alleged victim whom G Unit rapper Tony Yayo has said to have attacked has lashed out at the rapper. In a statement Cynthia Reid, mother of the 14 year old boy said "It was blatant and vicious and illustrates Yayo's negligence while proving that he considers himself above the law.

It is also indicative of a larger pattern of behavior by entertainers that do not hold themselves accountable for being peaceful, respectful, and law abiding citizens. I am certain that justice will be served when Tony Yayo stands before a Judge next month. In the meantime, however, I will continue to mobilize the community to support my son who has suffered irreparable damage both physically and mentally from this horrendous assault."

This comes after Yayo pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan court on Tuesday and rejected a nine month prison sentence. Yayo is expected back in court in September.

Akon looking to work with Paris
Troubled singer/producer Akon has made it clear that he would be happy to work with Paris Hilton. The Hollywood socialite has had her fair of drama too, most recent being her highly publicized stint in the slammer for a DWI. Amidst all this controversy Paris lost her label home at Warner Brothers so an opening at Akon's Konvict imprint would be welcomed with open arms by the model.

The multi platinum artist Akon who is still breaking records with his sophomore project Konvicted which came out last year had this to say about his Parisian connection "In my mind I was thinking now Paris Hilton is an official convict, I think I'm gonna get with her and put a record out," says Akon. "I would definitely sign her to my label 'cos she's a character. You give her the cutest record, something that's just for women, an anthem; I think it will be outta here!"
