T Pain Arrested
R&B singer T Pain was arrested along with members of his entourage in Miami, Florida this last weekend after the Florida native was told his performance at The Spring Fest Concert was going to be cut short. The Radio One event which takes place annually in Miami had featured performers such as Jim Jones, Young Joc and Trey Songz before T Pain took to the stage. The singer and his camp were adamant that he would perform the full thirty minutes he was scheduled for, but the police decided to cut the performance show short. Members of his entourage and himself were arrested after making obscene gestures and cursing at local law enforcement officers.
Houston cleans up its act
Award winning rapper Chamillionaire has opted to make changes to his sophomore album, choosing to avoid using profanity and the N word which has been a huge topic of conversation within Hip-Hop over the last few weeks. The Grammy winning rapper who hails from Houston has never used profanity in any of his work as he sees this as a hindrance in taking his product further. Taking his position as role model very seriously the rapper had this to say to AllHipHop.com, "Everybody needs to focus their direction on these younger kids that are looking at them.If we help raise them right this is gonna be the new generation and this new generation is gonna be more like me maybe and just don't curse or brag about being a gangster."

His album which is expected in the Summer called Ultimate Victory features appearances from Bun B, Snoop Dogg and Devin the Dude.

50 Cent upsets Christian Group
Curtis Jackson wearing a cross is just too much for Christian group The Resistance, based out of California who have released a press release asking the rapper to remove his cross, as it is a 'blatant disrespect of what it stands for when you hear the lyrics of his songs.'

Said a member of The Resistance Mark Rice 'It's appalling for anyone to say they believe in God and then wear a huge Christian cross while rapping about murdering people for fun,"

The platinum selling 50 Cent has been photographed numerous times wearing a diamond encrusted platinum cross.

This is not the first time he has been condemned for his outlandish actions. Billboards were eventually pulled promoting his move Get Rich or Die Trying back in 2005 as they featured him with a microphone and a gun in his hands. The rapper went on to accuse Hollywood of double standards when the poster came out for the recent James Bond movie, Casino Royale which had the infamous Bond wielding a gun.

DTP shake up
The Ludacris headed label Disturbing the Peace has welcomed back into its fold St.Louis rapper Chingy who went AWOL in early 2004 after complaining he and his money weren't handled accordingly by the company. The rapper released his debut album Jackpot which featured the Right Thurr track on DTP, then went on to release two more through Capitol records which failed to amass impressive sales. We recently reported that the solo female MC of DTP Shawnaa had split from the collective and is now looking to find a situation to suit her requirements. Chingy is expected to feature on Strength in Numbers, the DTO album which is expected to be released in the Sumer.
