Lil Flip Management issue statement
Sandy Lal, the manager of Houston rapper Lil Flip AKA The Clover King released a statement yesterday in regards to the recent arrest of his artist for credit card fraud. The fraud comes after a member of Flips staff was making travel arrangements using a stolen credit card number."Flip had absolutely no involvement with any sort of credit card fraud. He never personally handles any travel arrangements, that is left to promoters and travel agents. Any wrongdoing of any sort is clearly in THEIR hands. It's unfortunate that Flip was a victim to this charade and his name has been tied to this situation due to his celebrity status. Nevertheless, we are in the midst of negotiations for various ventures including a multi million dollar relaunch of his Lucky Nites cognac.According to Lil Flip's Houston criminal attorney, Stanley Schneider, Lil Flip nor anyone associated with him had any knowledge that a stolen credit card was being used by a person hired to arrange his travel. A complete investigation will easily show that Lil Flip is innocent of all charges and is actually a victim of a scam."
Tony Yayo rejects deal
Tony Yayo was refused the nine months in prison offered to him by a Manhattan judge yesterday. The G Unit rapper is charged with misdemeanor assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child stemming from his alleged assault on the 14 year old son of Jimmy 'Henchman' Rosemond in Manhattan earlier this year.In response to this offer, Yayo opted to take to the stand in September to maintain his innocence in the case.

Tupac v Death Row
Mother of slain rapper Tupac Shakur, Afeni Shakur has filed against her son's former record label Death Row. After the untimely death of the multi platinum rapper, all unreleased recordings were to be turned over to the Tupac Shakur Estate in 1997.

The estate was under the impression that it possessed all material recorded both published and unpublished. However since Death Row has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy it has been uncovered that the company headed up by CEO Suge Knight who was with Tupac on the night of his murder are in possession of 'an album's worth of unreleased Tupac material was being advertised to potential buyers as the jewel in the crown of the Death Row assets.'

It will be left in the hands of the courts to decide whether Death Row has any hold over such recordings and if it will indeed be able to use the sale of such recordings to appease the debt that the label is in. Afeni Shakur made headlines two weeks ago as part of her estate in North Carolina burned to the ground.

Lil Wayne released on bond
Rapper Lil Wayne born Dwayne Carter Jr was released on $70,000 bond in New York on Monday after being arrested the previous night after performing his first ever solo concert in New York.

The Cash Money rapper was arrested for possession of a .40 caliber gun which police found while searching the rappers tour bus after being stopped by police who allegedly saw Lil Wayne and an associate smoking marijuana.

The charge carries a minimum of three and a half year prison sentence if Lil Wayne was to be found guilty. What appears a mystery to the rappers lawyer is why the other people on the bus were not arrested as New York state law says 'everyone in a vehicle with an unclaimed gun should be charged if that vehicle is searched by police.'
