Run DMC Make it Two

Celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Lyor Cohen flocked to Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday night to view the new members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame be inducted.

Run DMC were the second Hip-Hop collective to be inducted into the prestigious club, the first was Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five in 2002. Made up of Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels and Rev. Run, the trend setters were joined on stage by the mother of the late Jam Master Jay who made up the Queens trio.

The DJ was shot and killed in 2002 in a recording studio in Queens, however winning this privilege was yet another celebration of what the Queens collective had achieved.

Mrs. Mizell-Perry, the mother of the DJ said in regards to the Walk this Way rappers being awarded with such an accolade "He loved giving, he didn't put a price tag on the things he did for someone. I'm not surprised to be here tonight. Anything you ask for you get and the boys deserve it."

Eminem Talks Production on Relapse

With a five year break from recording music, Eminem recently divulged that the bulk of the production on his impending release Relapse is in fact handled by producer and label boss Dr. Dre.

"Dre produced most of the album, basically all of the album except for maybe one or two songs," Em said in an interview. "It was great, we got in there. We were looking for this song for a long time, you know, and finally one day it just hit us. We got the record, went in and made it and Dre just put his touches on it, made everything bigger, had the rhyme and it was, you know, that's basically it,” the Detroit rapper explained in a recent interview.

The album which features the recent chart topping hit Crack a Bottle is slated for a May 19th release after fans had hoped to see it on shelves in December last year. Eminem was also present on Saturday night to induct Run DMC into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Slim Shady rapper paid tribute to the trio in his speech saying "Two turn tables and mic, that's all it took to change the world, when I was a kid growing up in Detroit. I didn't know what to be, then came Run-DMC. "I had never heard or seen anything like them, but I knew I wanted to be them. I had skipped school to go buy Tougher Than Leather the day it came out. [As] soon as I heard 'Run's House,' it was a wrap for me. Marshall Mathers became Eminem."

Chris Brown Looking for a Deal

R&B singer Chris Brown who is due to appear in court today is expected to plead not guilty on the charges of domestic battery he faces after an alleged assault on former girlfriend Rihanna back in February.
