In today’s Daily Rap, Chris Brown is wanted by the LAPD in conjunction with his girlfriend Rihanna’s black eye, Snoop Dogg leaves Interscope, Mistah Fab is involved in a car accident and Foxy Brown is not impressed.
Chris Brown wanted by LAPD
R&B singer Chris Brown is wanted for questioning by the LAPD for felony domestic abuse after a heated argument left his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, sporting a black eye.
The couple who had been expected to perform at the 51st Grammy Awards in LA last night both failed to perform and apologies were sent from both camps for their absence.
The LAPD however explained that they had been called out after an argument between the two to find that Brown had already left the scene.
The couple had been at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party earlier in the evening and it is alleged that they began to argue and had vacated the car they were travelling in when the argument escalated.
Snoop Leaves Geffen/Interscope
Snoop Dogg has opted to part ways with record label Geffen where he has released three albums it has been reported.
Snoop, shot to fame with his multi-platinum selling album Tha Dogg Pound back in 1993 on Death Row/Interscope but after leaving Death Row it wasn’t until 2000 that he returned to his former label home to continue his recording career under the Geffen umbrella.
It is expected that Snoop will like many other artists now take the independent route when releasing music, just as fellow West Coast icon Ice Cube has with his last two albums.
Snoop was nominated for two Grammies last night in Los Angeles for his song Sexual Eruption.
Mistah Fab involved in Car Accident
Bay Area rapper Mistah Fab was involved in a serious car accident on Thursday night which has left the rapper with problems walking.
The car which was carrying the rapper, his manager and his DJ hit some water encouraging the car to hydroplane. Mistah Fab’s manager broke his back in the accident while DJ Tito suffered from serious lung injuries.
The trio were leaving a show in Bakersfield after performing with Glasses Malone and heading back to Los Angeles when the accident occurred.
Foxy Brown not Impressed
Brooklyn femcee Foxy Brown is not at all impressed with 50 Cent after he subliminally mentioned her in one of his recent attacks on Miami based rapper Rick Ross.
50 Cent who is known for his unprecedented attacks on anyone who attempts to belittle him lyrically said Foxy’s name in the notorious track Try Me where he comments on an alleged relationship between Foxy and Rick Ross.
Foxy Brown gave 50 Cent 24 hours to retract the line before she would launch her own attack on the G Unit front man. In a comedic video which circulated on You Tube and the rappers own website Thisis50.com late last night it is apparent that 50 Cent is not taking the threat from Ms. Brown seriously.
Brown and Rick Ross were said to have dated briefly when Brown was released from prison early last year.
