In today’s Daily Rap we witness a stabbing at the Urban Music Awards, a Chicago MC sells album for 99 cents, the UK paparazzi get more than they bargained for from Kanye West and Suge Knight faces even more criminal charges.

Stabbing at Urban Music Awards

Security was allegedly to blame at the Urban Music Awards in South London on Saturday night which left three people stabbed, one in a critical condition.

It was reported that when entering the event which was being held at a venue inside the O2 Arena the security was not in effect like it was usual and there were no searches allowing attendees the opportunity to walk in while carrying knives.

Rigorous questioning by police saw over 300 people kept inside the venue and allowed to leave one by one when they had each answered questions about the attack which involved over 30 people.

Chicago MC gives album up for 99c

The ever conscious BBoy Common is giving fans a real treat by offering up his impending release for only 99cents on its day of release.

Common who has been a mainstay in Hip-Hop for two decades will be releasing Universal Mind Control through G.O.O.D Music/Geffen on December 9th.

It is the rappers eighth album and the second from him while signed to Kanye West’s imprint G.O.O.D Music.

UK paparazzi mess with Kanye

Kanye had a little altercation with a local photographer last week as he was taking in the sights of the north after appearing at the Newcastle Arena on the northern leg of his Glow in the Dark tour which has been one of the best selling tours of 2008.

Kanye who was staying in a local Gateshead Hotel was leaving the Tup Tup Palace when he was approached by a photographer who according to eye witnesses said “he was right up in Kanye’s face trying to get pictures.”

Kanye tried to put his hand up to prevent the man from putting the camera too close and the camera scratched its owner on the nose and from there the rapper was arrested and later released without being charged. This is the second time that Kanye has faced problems like this with paps and he voiced his concern about such incidents on his myspace blog this weekend.

More Charges for Suge

Looks like the former CEO just can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble. He is now facing felony drug charges after he was arrested for attacking his girlfriend Melissa Isaac who has since that attack back in August gone missing.

Suge was arrested by officers who had to pull him off the woman as he held a knife above her head as he viciously assaulted her in Las Vegas.

Suge will be charged today with two counts of possession of a controlled substance after ecstasy and hydrocodone were found is his system and with battery.
