Game’s sister Shot
The sister of Compton rapper Game was shot late last week as she was going to record at her brother Big Fase’s studio in Compton.
B Fly was caught in the middle of the drive-by shooting and suffered minor injuries from a stray bullet which grazed her.
Due to the incident, Game who was scheduled to perform at the BET Hip-Hop Award Saturday night in Atlanta failed to attend.
He was apparently staying close to home to ensure the safety of his sister.
Lil Wayne expecting a Child
Rapper Lil Wayne announced at the BET Hip-Hop Awards that he is expecting a son any day now.
Wayne who was nominated for twelve awards at this years ceremony has had an incredible year with his Carter III album being the best selling Hip-Hop album of 2008 to date. It was the only album to go platinum after only one week’s sales.
Wayne who already has a nine year old daughter with his childhood sweetheart has not made clear who the mother of his expectant son is.
Mobo Winners
Even though some of the big winners were not in attendance at last week’s Mobo Awards Ceremony at the Wembley Arena, the 13th annual event went without a hitch.
Leona Lewis who won two awards was not in attendance due to a scheduling conflict nor was Dizzie Rascal who took home the Best UK Male award. But one star who was present to pick up her two awards was London based singer Estelle.
Estelle who has had tremendous success on both sides of the Atlantic won the awards for Best UK Female and Best Song with her American Boy which saw her join up with Kanye West.
Nelly Furtado Shares her Secret
Canadian song bird Nelly Furtado recently informed media that she has in fact been married for three months to sound engineer Demacio ‘Demo’ Castellon.
The couple who managed to keep their Summer wedding secret have been dating since 2006 when Nelly was working on her album Loose.
Nelly who has one daughter from a previous relationship is currently starring in Max Payne alongside rapper Ludacris which is in movie theatres in American right now.
