In today's Daily Rap we see Rick Ross getting in deeper trouble as he's sued for $4 million (£2 million) whilst Jay-Z on the other hand, is making money as he sells half of his Sports Bar 40/40. Elsewhere, DMX faces a longer jail term and Young Joc needs to pay up his child support.
Rick Ross sued for $4 million
Famed DJ Vlad has filed a lawsuit against Miami rapper Rick Ross after he was attacked by various members of Ross's entourage at the Ozone Awards last weekend in Houston, Texas.
Vlad had been questioning Ross about allegations about him being a prison officer when he had been attacked. The DJ had been left bleeding and with cuts to his head.
The suit was filed in a Manhattan Court on Friday.
Jay Z sells 40/40
Looks like Jay Z is making more interesting moves as he is allegedly working on his new album Blueprint 3. The Brooklyn rapper is in talks to sell 50% of his sports bar 40/40 in Las Vegas to the Las Vegas Sand Corps who own various hotels in the area including the Venetian.
The merge will encourage the 40/40 club to spread to Europe almost immediately with a new venue opening in London before 2010 insiders have indicated.
After spending a lot of the Summer in Europe, Jay Z has indicated that he would like to buy property in the UK and spend more time here according to tabloids.
DMX could stay in jail until October
After failing to show up to a Phoenix court hearing last week, the notoriously troubled rapper DMX was arrested in a Florida supermarket late last week.
It has been indicated that the rapper may find himself sitting in prison until he is expected in court again in October due to a no bond issuance being in place by courts in Arizona.
DMX born Earl Simmons is expected in court in Miami on October 2 and unless Arizona lifts its no bond rule in connection with the rapper Miami is where he will remain until that time.
Young Joc needs to pay up
The mother of Bad Boy rapper Young Joc has made allegations that the rapper has not been paying the stipulate $2,000 per month set forward by courts.
Fatima Jester, the mother of the child, has indicated that the Going Down rapper has been making payments late and not paying the court stipulated amount as set forth by an Atlanta judge.
No comments have been made by the rapper or his camp in regards to this matter.
