The respected scholar was only 58. The circumstances surrounding Dr. West's death have not been revealed and representatives for the family have asked for the media to respect their privacy at this time. Dr West had just recently released her book, Raising Kanye, where she discussed raised her Grammy winning son Kanye. She was an active professor for 34 years but left to co-manager her son as a rapper. Kanye West was said to be in Europe preparing for a tour when he heard the tragic news. Artists such as Riz, Estelle, Push Montana will get a chance to shine with this project. When you visit Alicia Keys page on the popular networking site MySpace.com you may think you are just like thousands more going to visit her music and read about your favorite artist. However hackers have made sure that when you go to her page you are getting an added bonus, your computer infected with a Trojan Horse. Allowing hackers access to your computer if you follow certain links on the page. The New York Times reported that other music pages were also infected during this attack. But myspace has ensured that all corrupt items which they term as 'phishing' have been removed from the pages of French funk band Greements of Fortune and Scottish rock band the Dykeenies. This is an ongoing problem that Myspace are reporting to be on top of. In Alicia Keys news, the famed songstress has show interest in working with R&B icon Beyonce Knowles. "I think that me and B would do something crazy together and be able to kinda stretch in a way that would be unexpected. So I dunno, maybe the next record or her next record. Ya know, whenever we have a second to go in a room and really zone out. I think it would be crazy," Alicia stated.
Method Man goes out on tour
One member of the notorious Wu Tang Clan is gearing up to go out on the road in Canada. Method Man will be hitting the venues listed below as a promo run for his up and coming album Crystal Method. There has yet to be a release date determined for the album, but The Wu Tang are gearing up to release 8 Diagrams on December 11th. There has been various controversies linked with the album, but Loud Records boss Steve Rifkind guarantees that the album will be being released on the scheduled date.
