Receiving a diplomatic passport in front of fans including Russell Simmons Jean told members of the Haitian government and well wishers that he wouldn't be 'letting them down.' Wyclef Jean began his own foundation for the improvement of the trouble torn island in 2005 with his Yele Haiti foundation which has gained support from some of the worlds most known philanthropists, including Angelina Jolie.Def Jam behind Nas title of new albumDef Jam boss LA Reid has gone on the record stating that the label stand behind Nas and the title of his pending release "Nigga" after news reports in teh US ststed otherwise. Reid made the comments at the recent premier of American Gangster in New York explaining his support for the Queensbridge rapper and his choice of title. "We support everything our artists do, everything!" Reid said. "We stand firmly behind and beside our artists with pride and with pleasure. Anything Nas wants to do, I completely stand beside him. Rapper Clifford Harris was denied bail again on Friday stemming from charges relating to a convicted felon purchasing machine guns and silencers. Expected to appear in court on Friday of this week, authorities are looking for a $3.7 cash bond to release TI to house arrest where the only other adult allowed to be present with the rapper beyond a state authorized representative will be the rappers common law wife Tameka 'Tiny" Cottle, former Xscape singer. Atlantic Records and the Universal Music group have put up money for the cash bond to see their artist released from prison while waiting for his trial to come to court.

Beanie Sigel charges dropped

Philadelphia born rapper Beanie Sigel has had charges dropped against him after a car rental place were suing for late fees of $5,000 after a car rented by the rapper born Dwight Grant wasn't returned. There was a warrant issued for the rappers arrest but an employee for Payless, the company whom Sigel has rented the car from said there had been a misunderstanding on the companies part. All charges were dropped.
